Layering the E collar over Leash pressure: Becky the anxious GSD

You may recognise this girl from a previous video where we were conditioning her to the remote collar, well this is a SNEAK preview from her next session but it's how we layer the e collar over heel work.
E collars are great for all aspects of obedience and it's particularly useful for when you want to transition from on lead to off lead heel work.
We teach all dogs about leash pressure and what it means, so once the dog understands the ecollar and understands leash pressure you can simply pair the 2.
Every time tension is applied on the lead I add e collar pressure, when the lead is relaxed the e collar is turned off. Because the dog understands leash pressure and understands the e collar, doing this is very easy for the dog to understand.
Eventually when there is no lead the e collar will become the invisible lead. This way you can have off lead freedom everywhere and anywhere without worrying.
